About This Pairing

A considered, intentional litter.

The Calhoun × Ravenel pairing brings together the two foundational solid black European Maine Coons of Ironmane Coons. Both parents carry heavy bone, the long profound muzzle, and the calm, family-room disposition that defines our program.

Ravenel's pregnancy is confirmed and this litter is due August 25–30, 2026. Families on the Priority Waitlist are introduced first, in waitlist order, as each kitten arrives safely and its structure, color, and temperament begin to emerge.

Expected color expression skews heavily toward solid black, with a possibility of black smoke depending on the genetics each parent carries. Black silver tabby is less likely, but remains possible.

Both parents are N/N cleared for HCM, SMA, and PKDef, and follow our full cardiology protocol. Every kitten from this pairing will be raised inside our Charleston home with daily handling, early socialization, and a complete go-home record.

Questions, Answered

About this litter.

When is this litter due?
Ravenel's pregnancy is confirmed and the Calhoun × Ravenel litter is due between August 25 and August 30, 2026. Timing can move slightly with nature, but that is the current due window.
When can I reserve a kitten from this pairing?
Priority Waitlist families are introduced to the litter first, in waitlist order, once kittens are confirmed and individually assessed for color and temperament.
What colors are most likely from this pairing?
Solid black is the primary expectation. Black smoke remains possible depending on what each parent carries, and black silver tabby is a less-likely but possible outcome.
What is the reservation fee?
Specifics are shared privately with Priority Waitlist families. The reservation fee is applied toward the kitten and confirms your place in the pairing.
