Local access. European quality.
Charleston families searching for Maine Coon kittens often face a frustrating tradeoff: the highest-quality European breeders are far away, and the closest local options lack the bloodlines, health testing, or socialization they expect.
Ironmane Coons was built to solve that. We are a small, home-based cattery in the Charleston area with direct European imports and the same health protocols demanded by the best European catteries. You get boutique bloodlines without the cross-country logistics.
We serve families across Charleston, Mount Pleasant, Daniel Island, James Island, Johns Island, and the beach communities. Kittens grow up in our kitchen and living room, handled daily by our children, and we stay in touch afterward.

Questions from Charleston families
Where is Ironmane Coons located?
We are located in the Charleston Lowcountry, just outside the city. We work with families throughout Charleston, Mount Pleasant, Daniel Island, and the surrounding coastal communities.
Can I pick up my kitten locally?
Yes. Local families are welcome to pick up their kitten at our home once the kitten has been cleared by our veterinarian and reached 10 weeks of age, subject to each kitten's health and readiness.
Do you offer in-person visits for Charleston families?
We offer controlled visits once kittens are old enough and health protocols allow. We also provide video updates, weekly photos, and a private Litter Journal for reserved families.
When is your next Charleston-area litter expected?
Calhoun × Ravenel's litter, The Iconic Five, was born October 11, 2026, and Calhoun × Hunley is due October 28–31, 2026. Priority Waitlist families are introduced first, in application order.
