The family behind the standard.
Ironmane Coons is a small, deliberate cattery raised inside our home near Charleston, South Carolina — devoted to preserving European Maine Coon bloodlines and placing them with families who will love them for a lifetime.
From our home
Ironmane is our household outside Charleston — two of us, our children, and a small number of European Maine Coons who live with us rather than near us.
We breed a few litters a year, from Polish, Russian, and Italian lines we chose for structure and steadiness. Every pairing waits on DNA results, and every kitten grows up in the kitchen and living room, handled daily.
We would rather place fewer kittens well than many quickly. Families are introduced in the order they applied, and we stay in touch long after a kitten leaves — that is the part of this work we value most.
— Hannah & John

Built quietly. Chosen carefully.
Ironmane began the way the best things do — quietly, and with intention. What started as a love for one extraordinary cat became a devotion to a rare European lineage, and eventually, a cattery built around a single question: what would it look like to do this the right way?
We do not breed often. We do not place widely. Each pairing is planned months in advance, every parent is health-tested, and every kitten is raised in the center of our home — underfoot from day one, surrounded by children, footsteps, music, and the gentle rhythm of family life.
When a kitten leaves us, it leaves poised, socialized, and prepared. And the relationship does not end there — we remain a resource for every family, for the lifetime of every cat we place.
