Pickup near Charleston
Meet the litter, spend time with the parents, and drive your kitten home. Pickup is at our home near Charleston, South Carolina, by appointment.
Fly in and carry home
Fly into Charleston International (CHS), meet us at the airport, and take your kitten home in-cabin the same day. Often the least expensive option.
Private flight nanny
A vetted courier flies with your kitten in the cabin and hands them to you at arrivals — the option most out-of-state and international families choose.

Match & Reserve
A kitten is matched to your family from the Priority Waitlist, the Reservation Agreement is signed, and the Reservation Fee holds your kitten.
Plan the Route
We agree on pickup, self-transport, or flight nanny; choose an airport pair and a non-stop route; and lock a date inside the ten-to-twelve-week window.
Health Clearance
A USDA-accredited veterinarian issues the health certificate inside the airline's window, alongside the final vaccination, microchip, and registration paperwork.
Carrier Conditioning
Your kitten sleeps and eats in its travel carrier for weeks beforehand, so departure day is familiar rather than frightening.
Travel Day
In-cabin the entire way, with photo updates from the nanny at departure, layover, and landing. Never cargo, never unattended.
Welcome Home
Hand delivery at arrivals, a Welcome Home guide, the food your kitten already eats, and our number for life.

Placement abroad
International families are welcome where the destination country permits importing a domestic cat from the United States. Requirements vary — most commonly a microchip, a rabies vaccination, an official veterinary certificate, and in some jurisdictions a rabies titer test with a waiting period measured in months.
Because those lead times can exceed the kitten's own age, we ask international families to begin the conversation early — ideally before a pairing is even confirmed. We coordinate directly with your import authority's requirements and will say plainly if a destination is not workable.
Terms families should know
Every kitten's readiness to travel is assessed individually — age, weight, health, temperament, distance, season, and weather all factor in. If a kitten is not ready, we delay rather than depart.
All transport arrangements, costs, timing, and responsibilities are agreed in writing before Welcome Home Day. Families are responsible for transportation costs unless otherwise agreed in writing. Ironmane Coons is not responsible for airline delays, weather delays, third-party transportation issues, schedule changes, missed connections, or expenses outside our control.
